EM BUILD Build 👍

Kazuha's 4th Ascension Passive encourages players to maximise Elemental Mastery in order to maximise his utility. Similar to Venti, due to the EM buffs, a triple EM build will out-damage a regular ATK-EM/Anemo/Crit build as long as there are 2+ enemies due to the amount of Swirls involved. Because of this, an ADC (Attack/Damage/Crit) build isn't recommended unless he is in a team whereby he cannot make use of his A4 passive or Swirls. (i.e. mono Anemo/Geo teams) Regarding Weapon Choices: The ultimate goal is to try stack as much EM while getting enough ER for a consistent Burst uptime. Having Sacrificial Sword or a second Anemo character in the team will also help reduce the needs for ER and prioritize EM substats more. Favonius Sword: With this weapon, try to aim for some Crit Rate stats to trigger the weapon passive reliably. Xiphos' Moonlight: In teams where you can meet energy requirements without needing the extra particles from Favonius Sword this is a better choice with stronger personal damage and buffing. Also at high refinements [R4-R5] it starts beating Favonius Sword in team energy generation too. Iron Sting: This weapon will yield the joint highest upfront EM and teamwide buff if compared to the other 4 star options, if you manage to meet his energy needs or simply don't need more than one rotation, this would be the better option if compared to the Energy Recharge weapons. Toukabou Shigure: This weapon performs very similarly to Iron Sting in a Swirl focused build even at higher refinements since its passive does not effect Swirl damage. Amenoma Kageuchi: At [R5], Amenoma Kageuchi needs no extra ER, and can focus building entirely EM. This makes it roughly equal to Iron Sting. Sapwood Blade: Only really viable at high refinement in specific Dendro teams where you can trigger Dendro reactions usually through swirling Electro/Hydro on enemies with Dendro applied to them (most consistently done in Aggravate reaction comps). Regarding Artifact Sets: Thundering Fury (4): This is a niche build that excels only in AoE situations and with specific teams. Those teams include an off-field Hydro and Electro support to allow Kazuha to constantly trigger the 4pc effect and spam his Elemental Skill, aswell as another Anemo support to hold the Viridiscent Venerer (4) set. Such teams can be Kazuha + Kokomi + Fischl + Venti, with Barbara and Sucrose being weaker replacements for Kokomi and Venti. This team triggers multiple fall damage instances against enemies that can be Crowd Controlled by Kazuha. Fischl can use The Viridiscent Hunt bow to allow for more fall damage instances. **NOTE: This team performs very poorly in pure single target situations. Prioritize Energy Recharge if his Energy Requirements are not met yet. For an EM-focused build, upgrading Kazuha's talent levels isn't a necessity. Note that upgrading Kazuha's NA talent increases the damage of his plunge attacks.

ABILITY TIP

The element which is absorbed by Kazuha's elemental burst follows the priority of Pyro > Hydro > Electro > Cryo, and can be absorbed from both the active character and enemies. (i.e. Standing in Bennett 's Elemental Burst will result in Kazuha's Elemental Burst infusing Pyro as Bennett's Elemental Burst applies Pyro to the active character)

Talents
Normal Attack: Garyuu Bladework

Normal Attack: Garyuu Bladework

Normal Attack
Perform up to 5 rapid strikes.

Charged Attack
Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to unleash 2 rapid sword strikes.

Plunging Attack
Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact. If this Plunging Attack is triggered by Chihayaburu, it will be converted to Plunging Attack: Midare Ranzan.

Plunging Attack: Midare Ranzan
When a Plunging Attack is performed using the effects of the Elemental Skill Chihayaburu, Plunging Attack DMG is converted to Anemo DMG and will create a small wind tunnel via a secret blade technique that pulls in nearby objects and opponents.

Chihayaburu

Chihayaburu

Unleashes a secret technique as fierce as the rushing wind that pulls objects and opponents towards Kazuha's current position before launching opponents within the AoE, dealing Anemo DMG and lifting Kazuha into the air on a rushing gust of wind.
Within 10s of remaining airborne after casting Chihayaburu, Kazuha can unleash a powerful Plunging Attack known as Midare Ranzan.

Press
Can be used in mid-air.

Hold
Charges up before unleashing greater Anemo DMG over a larger AoE than Press Mode.

Plunging Attack: Midare Ranzan
When a Plunging Attack is performed using the effects of the Elemental Skill Chihayaburu, Plunging Attack DMG is converted to Anemo DMG. On landing, Kazuha creates a small wind tunnel via a secret blade technique that pulls in nearby objects and opponents.
Midare Ranzan's DMG is considered Plunging Attack DMG.

"Wind in branches grieves
Bygone ages, gods of old
Withered autumn leaves"

Kazuha Slash

Kazuha Slash

The signature technique of Kazuha's self-styled bladework — a single slash that strikes with the force of the first winds of autumn, dealing AoE Anemo DMG.
The blade's passage will leave behind a field named "Autumn Whirlwind" that periodically deals AoE Anemo DMG to opponents within its range.

Elemental Absorption
If Autumn Whirlwind comes into contact with Hydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electro, it will deal additional elemental DMG of that type.
Elemental Absorption may only occur once per use.

"I see eternity go by in an instant, the autumns of many years from a single leaf. Thus I shall slice this maple in a flash, and ask a question of the ages."

Passive Talents

Soumon Swordsmanship

Soumon Swordsmanship

If Chihayaburu comes into contact with Hydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electro when cast, this Chihayaburu will absorb that element and if Plunging Attack: Midare Ranzan is used before the effect expires, it will deal an additional 200% ATK of the absorbed elemental type as DMG. This will be considered Plunging Attack DMG.
Elemental Absorption may only occur once per use of Chihayaburu.

Poetics of Fuubutsu
